It is with great pleasure that I announce that our Board of Education voted unanimously to eliminate the activity fee for all sports, clubs and activities (grades 7-12). The activity fee elimination will begin with the 2017-2018 school year.
Students will still be required to register for these extracurricular programs through FamilyID, however, we will no longer be assessing a $100 per student/$200 family maximum. We are thrilled that we are able to provide a bit of relief to our Montgomery families. The elimination of this fee comes from the savings made available to the district as a result of recently changing health care plans. All of our administrators, coaches, and advisors are grateful for this decision.
This is the first of many actions we have considered as we begin to design outcomes for our new District Strategic Plan. We thank you for your continued support.
